This is the Privacy Policy (“Policy”) of www.oksld.com, a website and service approved by the State of Oklahoma Department of Consumer Credit (“Department”).
The website takes its responsibility of safeguarding your personal privacy very seriously; we are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of your personal information. We protect your personal information from loss or misuse through the use of industry-recognized security safeguards that meet or exceed federal requirements for information safety and security.
Who we are.
This website is an online service of the Department that allows Oklahoma Small Lenders (“OSLs”) of small loan transactions (“SLTs”) to validate consumer eligibility according to the Oklahoma Small Lenders Act (the “Act”) which was enacted by the 2019 Oklahoma legislature under Senate Bill 720 and relevant rules promulgated by the Department; and provide for the tracking of information regarding all such small loan transactions. Catalis (“Catalis”) is a third party, privately held company under contract with the Department to provide this service.
Privacy Notice.
Privacy and security are our highest priority. Ensuring lawful electronic access to state regulatory information and services while maintaining privacy is a guiding principle of our program. Personal data in our possession is maintained and used in ways that respect individual privacy. Catalis educates its employees about the importance of protecting personal information and privacy. Only authorized employees of Catalis and the Department have access to consumers’ personal information.
The purpose of this Policy is to notify you of:
- What personally identifiable information is collected through our website;
- The organization collecting the information;
- How the information is used;
- With whom the information may be shared
- The kind of security procedures that are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under our control; and
- How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.
If you feel that we are not abiding by the Policy, or if you wish to correct any inaccurate information, please contact Catalis Customer Service by e-mail at mail@catalisgov.com.
Information we collect through the www.oksld.com website.
If you fill out the "Contact Us" form, your name and other identifying information will not be sold or shared with any person or organization, other than the Department. Your e-mail address or telephone number may be used by authorized Catalis employees to contact you concerning your comments, questions or complaints.
How your information is used.
When an OSL enters a consumer’s information into the database, we use this information to help licensed OSLs in the State of Oklahoma determine the eligibility to enter into a SLT with a consumer in compliance with the Act.
The identifying information contained in the database for small loan licensees, which is authorized under the Act, is confidential and exempt from public disclosure. The information in the database may be accessed to fulfill requirements pursuant to the Act and may be accessed by the Department for regulatory purposes consistent with the Act. Catalis may also access the information for purposes of maintaining the database and to provide statistical information about the program.
We do not sell or rent information to third parties for marketing programs or for any other purpose other than that authorized under the Act.
Limited distribution of personal information.
At the direction of an OSL, e.g., when the "Submit" button is clicked, the information provided to us will be processed through the system and the appropriate response will be returned to the OSL. All of the OSLs in our network operate under federal and/or state laws and regulations. Information sent indirectly through an OSL will be treated in the same manner as information you submit directly through the website.
When an OSL presses the "Submit" button to provide information to Catalis, Catalis will process the information through the database and will return an appropriate response to the OSL. The website will also treat information sent indirectly (via either the IVR, interface, email, fax or phone) to Catalis by an OSL in the same manner it treats information submitted directly through the website.
Security.
The website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Catalis uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to safeguard your sensitive personal information during online transactions. Using this widely accepted form of encryption, a transaction is secured from an OSL’s computer to the Catalis computers processing the request, and the processing computers are located behind a secure firewall. This method protects your information.
This notice should not be construed in any way as guaranteeing, or warranting as fail proof, the security of information exchanged between OSLs and Catalis. Any changes to this Policy will be communicated through the website at least 30 days in advance of implementation. Information collected before changes are made will be secured according to the Policy in effect prior to the change.
